Please Support Elizabeth R. Bain for Trustee of Penn State
From Brother Don Bain:

"You all  know me (or us: Elaine--Poli Sci '66, Don--Ind Engr '66) and we are asking for your support for our Daughter Elizabeth R. Bain Class of '94 as a nominee for the Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees.

This past year has been a trying time for the Blue and White faithful.  Some of our trusted leadership has exhibited exceptional bad judgment--the press has blown everything out of proportion--focusing attention on the University--not on the real crimes that may have been committed.  Our Beloved Joe has been very unfairly treated.
We need some new, dynamic leadership to help us weather this storm and build the bridge to an even greater future for Penn State.

Elizabeth's (Liz's) summary bio can be viewed by clicking on the "Title" of this news story above.  WE ARE A PENN STATE FAMILY.. My Uncle, My Brother, Elaine, Elaine's--father, mother, brother, father, cousin--and ouf course, our daughter Elizabeth all are Penn Staters.  We literally bleed Blue and White!!  Please support us by nominating Elizabeth R. Bain for the Board of Trustees.

In addition to Liz's summary bio...we would add that she holds degrees from University of Michigan Law School, and Portaland State University, in addition to her Penn State undergraduate degree.  She has worked for the Texas State Supreme Court, and for law firms in Texas, and Oregon.  She is presently an associate with the Foley and Mansfield Law Firm in Oakland, California.

We would very much appreciate your nominating Elizabeth for the Pennsylvania State Universith Board of Trustees.

Please also forward this request to any other alumni with whom you are in contact.

Thanks for your suport.

We Still Are
It’s been an emotional month for Penn Staters. Consistent with the values and ideals of our university, alumni are already stepping up to support the alleged victims, help our alumni community heal, and begin to set a course for renewal and rebuilding on our legacy.

With the benefit of our fraternity community and the Greek community as a whole, we have many unique opportunities as alumni to contribute positively to the Penn State student and alumni communities when they need it the most:

- Support THON, which kicks off February 17.
- Cheer on our student athletes in all sports—now that football season is over, cheer on the Nittany Lions in basketball and wrestling. Visit www.gopsusports.com for schedules.
- Take the time to reconnect with your friends to renew what your PSU experience means to you

You can also participate in these initiatives started by Penn State students and alumni:

Proud to be a Penn Stater
